Salon Klimbim was the first public appearance of the Utopian Pulse, its first flare. The steely, greedy fingers that keep a tight grip on the very notion of REALITY were prised a little looser by the Salon’s moments of utopian entertainments. For the “Vegetarian Tiger”, REALITY is open to all. The smug dichotomy of what is serious, what entertaining, was tossed into the waste bin while our tiger had no need to display any Green “credentials”. Salon Klimbim presents a range of performances on utopian ice. No intellectual dress code applied, no Frontex patrolled the borders of contemporariness, and no gatekeepers watched over this utopia. Instead, there were politics and party, dance and folly, screenings and seduction, intervention and agitation, in short: movements and entertainments.
